Terms & Conditions
1. Payment Terms
• Payments are accepted exclusively via credit card and ACH transactions.
• Diagnostic services & consultations require full payment upfront before scheduling.
• Repairs & installations require a 50% deposit upfront, with the remaining 50% due immediately upon completion.
• A valid credit card on file is mandatory for all transactions, including membership
auto-renewals.
Billing Dispute Resolution:
• Any billing disputes must be reported within 5 business days of charge processing.
• Failure to report disputes within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the charge.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policies
Refund Policy:
• No refunds will be issued for service cancellations after scheduling.
• Exceptions may be considered for extreme circumstances (e.g., natural disasterspreventing service).
Rescheduling Policy:
• Rescheduling is allowed with at least 72 hours’ notice for diagnostic or consultation
services.
Deposit Forfeiture:
• Jobs canceled within 7 business days of the scheduled service will forfeit their 50%
deposit.
3. Materials & Supplies
• All material sales are final.
• Refunds are only issued if the customer explicitly approves a return at the time of purchase and purchases an extended warranty.
• Manufacturer defects are covered under the manufacturer’s standard warranty, separate from Whale Done’s service warranties.
4. Material Visibility
• Product images are for reference only.
• Due to variations in lighting, screen resolution, and supplier inventory, actual product colors and sizes may differ slightly.
• Functionality remains unaffected by aesthetic variations.
5. Liability & Warranty
Customer Responsibility for Underground Utilities:
• Whale Done is not responsible for damages to underground utilities, including:
o Irrigation lines
o Gas lines
o Cable, fiber, or electrical wiring
• Customers must mark or disclose known utility locations before work begins.
Sod Installation Disclaimer:
• Whale Done cannot guarantee sod survival post-installation due to factors such as:
o Watering habits
o Soil conditions
• A sod warranty is only available if purchased as part of the service agreement.
6. Customer Responsibilities
• Customers must provide accurate system information and full access to the irrigation system at the scheduled time.
• Failure to provide access will result in a trip charge and rescheduling fees.
• Homeowners are responsible for:
o Maintaining proper system operation between service visits
o Protecting components from weather damage
Whale Done warrants the following products to be free of defects in materials and
workmanship under normal landscape irrigation use:
✔ Spray Heads & Rotors
✔ Nozzles & Risers
✔ Sprinkler Swing Joints
✔ Drip Emitters & Drip Zone Components
✔ Wi-Fi Smart Controllers
✔ Electric Valves
✔ Solenoids
✔ Wireless Rain/Freeze Sensors
✔ Backflow Valve Preventers
Warranty Period:
• The warranty period for each component is specified in the customer’s approved estimate.
• This warranty supersedes all implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for
a particular purpose.
Warranty Coverage:
• If a product fails during the warranty period, Whale Done will replace the defective part at no charge.
• This warranty does NOT cover:
✖️Misuse, negligence, tampering, or improper installation by anyone other than Whale Done.
✖️Damage from corrosive chemicals, rust, high water pressure, or unfiltered debris.
✖️Electrical failures due to lightning strikes, power surges, or unconditioned power supplies.
Warranty Claim Process:
✔ Contact Whale Done directly with proof of original installation.
✔ A technician will inspect the issue and determine warranty eligibility.
✔ If covered, the defective product will be replaced at no charge.
✔ If not covered, a diagnostic fee may apply.
Whale Done Labor Warranty
• Labor Warranty Period: Based on the approved estimate.
• Exclusions:
✖️Labor repairs due to customer negligence, third-party modifications, or environmental damage are not covered.
✖️Any DIY adjustments to the system void the labor warranty.
New System Installation Warranty
✔ Covers both labor and parts for new irrigation system installations.
✔ Warranty period is specified in the customer’s estimate.
✔ Whale Done will repair or replace any defective labor or parts within the warranty period.
Exclusions:
• Warranty is voided if another contractor modifies the system.
• Failures caused by high water pressure, power surges, or city-mandated regulation changes are not covered.
Lifetime Warranty – Terms & Conditions
Coverage Includes:
✔ Valves
✔ Controllers
✔ Double Check Assemblies
✔ Sprinkler Heads
✔ Rain & Freeze Sensor
Eligibility & Conditions:
1. Non-transferable—only applies to the original homeowner at the time of installation.
2. Coverage applies only to parts installed by Whale Done—not pre-existing or third-
party components.
3. Active membership in Whale Done’s service plan is required to maintain coverage.
4. Warranty is voided if another company or individual services, modifies, or repairs the
covered parts.
Warranty Claim Process:
✔ Homeowner must provide proof of original installation.
✔ Warranty service must be scheduled through Whale Done during business hours.
✔ Diagnostics or inspections are conducted at Whale Done’s discretion.
One-Time Warranty Replacement:
• Each covered part is eligible for ONE lifetime replacement.
• If the part is replaced once under warranty, any subsequent replacements will be
charged at the standard rate.
Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover:
• Sprinkler heads, pipes, wiring, fittings, backflow preventers (except double checks).
• Damage caused by city code or regulation changes.
• Acts of nature (lightning, floods, earthquakes, freezing temperatures).
• Physical damage from vehicles, construction, pets, landscaping, or tree roots.
• Water supply issues (contamination, high pressure, water restrictions).
Legal Disclaimer:
Whale Done Sprinklers & Irrigation reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this
warranty at any time without notice.
This warranty does not cover incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including but
not limited to property damage, water bills, or landscape restoration.
1-Year Limited Warranty Policy – French Drain Systems
1. Warranty Coverage
Whale Done Sprinklers & Irrigation guarantees that the French drain system installed at your property will function as intended for
one (1) year
from the date of installation. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions.
If a covered issue arises within the warranty period,
we will repair or replace the affected component at no cost to you
, subject to the terms outlined below.
2. What’s Covered
✅ PVC Drain Pipe
– Covers cracks, leaks, or material defects resulting from installation or manufacturer failure.
✅ Catch Basins & Drain Boxes
– Ensures proper drainage function and performance.
✅ Water Flow
– We’ll adjust and level the system to ensure proper water runoff as originally designed.
✅ Gravel & Fabric Layer
– If shifting occurs within the first year and impacts drainage effectiveness, we’ll adjust it.
✅ Connection Points & Seals
– Covers leaks or failures at pipe joints due to installation defects.
This warranty does not cover damages, failures, or issues resulting from:
❌ Clogs or blockages due to debris, leaves, dirt, mulch, or other foreign materials.
❌Landscaping modifications made after installation that alter the drainage flow.
❌Tree root intrusion that damages pipes or disrupts water flow.
❌Heavy equipment damage, including vehicles, machinery, or excessive weight placed over the system.
❌Acts of nature, including extreme weather, flooding, soil erosion, or natural ground shifting beyond typical settling.
❌Water table fluctuations or issues beyond our control related to changes in surrounding groundwater levels.
❌Repairs, modifications, or alterations
made by any party other than Whale Done Sprinklers & Irrigation.
Limitation of Liability
Whale Done Sprinklers & Irrigation is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages resulting from French drain failures, including property damage, flooding, or foundation issues. Our liability is limited solely to the repair or replacement of covered components as outlined in this policy.
